MARÍA MAYOR
I have had my climbing guide diploma for three years now and I have been thirsty to continue to enrich myself with experience in order to be able to pass it on in the field. I juggle with my desire to travel around for climbing adventures and establish myself in the Hautes Alpes, where I have recently been based.
Despite being born in the flattest region of Spain, I ventured into the world of mountains and climbing, which I found both very intimidating and attractive.
In my first years of climbing I was brought along by friends/boyfriends who I followed without asking too many questions. Little by little I realized that I wanted to progress towards autonomy, and it was and still is a big battle. What I seek to do in this profession is to help people find this autonomy and self-confidence in a safe and caring environment.
